Charlotte Jones Anderson will helm the local organizing committee for the 2014 NCAA Men's Final Four.

The Dallas Cowboys announced Tuesday that Charlotte Jones Anderson, who leads the team's charity efforts, was elected chairwoman of the 2014 NCAA Final Four Championship organizing committee.

The basketball championship will be held at Cowboys Stadium April 6-8, 2014.

Along with Anderson's election, Noe Hinojosa, president and CEO of Dallas-based Estrada Hinojosa Co., was elected as the board treasurer.

Anderson was a natural choice for the committee head, since she led the bid process five years ago, said Rick Baker, president and CEO of the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic, in a written statement.

Baker said she helped bring the Final Four to Cowboys Stadium and served as a member of the Super Bowl XLV Host Committee's executive board.

"Charlotte is a tireless advocate for our region," Baker said. "I'm very excited she accepted this position with the North Texas local organizing committee."

Daughter of Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones, Anderson was recently appointed to chair the National Football League Foundation. She is the executive vice president and vice president of brand management for the organization.

Candace covers commercial and residential real estate and sports business.
