St. Louis Community College votes not to extend Dorsey's contract

The St. Louis Community College board of trustees has voted not to extend Chancellor Myrtle Dorsey's contract, which ends in June 2014.

The motion to extend Dorsey's contract to 2015 failed on a vote of 3-3, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

The vote follows controversy over how the college handled an attack on a female student in a restroom on the college's Meramec campus in the spring. Former president of the Meramec campus, George Wasson, resigned following criticism about the incident.
